Get Up Out of that Graveyard

You can go down the street or go to a ball game, see two people sitting side by side, and on the surface you don't see any difference. They appear very much the same. But spiritually they can be as different as night and day, because one of them is a Christian and the other is not.Show more

Paul describes the horrible condition of the man who is not a believer--they are dead. Just as the person who is physically dead does not respond to any kind of physical stimulus, so is the person who is spiritually dead does not respond to any spiritual stimulus as well.

Then Paul presents the precious diamond of God's goodness to us. God has loved us.

We are not raised from the dead and then left in the graveyard to sit on a tombstone. But because we are united with Christ, we've been exalted with him. We are sharing his throne in heaven.

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, Ephesians 2:6
