Episode 453 Science verses Christ the King - Part 3

So the prevailing misconceptions about an inherent conflict between science and religion are precisely that misconceptions forged by the propagandists of the distant past, based on their prejudices and biased history. But it is also a challenge to Catholics today to stand firm in their faith and stop conceding the high ground. The more that scientific literacy and discoveries become part of our common worldview, the more a sense of our Catholic faith becomes important for us to be compelled to show the truth of the Catholic faith. In our scientifically literate culture, our impoverishment of evangelization and catechesis and to the scorn of a world that needs the gospel does not get better if we simply go along to get along. Remember that with God all things started and through his divine truth more will be revealed to us when he deems it so. Scientist do not replace God nor does the religion of Science (Bill Nye and Neil Tyson) supersede Christ the King.
