Hi, this is Mike Lingg from REMAX Real Estate coming to you today from Phipps Conservatory in Oakland with the first installment in my new video series, My Favorite Places in Pittsburgh! Phipps is a botanical garden set in Schenley Park in the Oakland section of town. It is a city of Pittsburgh historic landmard and it's listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's one of the greenest facilities in the world and the first and only Green House that has been awarded Platinum LEED certification. Money Magazine ranked Phipps as the best park in Pennsylvania. Its 14 rooms are full of plants and flowers, which makes it an oasis of botanical beauty. A perfect place to escape on a cold winter's day. Not that we have too many of those around here.!
