The 144,000 and Two Witnesses Part 13 - Revelation Study

John personifies the experience of the 144,000 and this scroll represents the words which the 144,000 will speak. John goes on to say “It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth”. A correct understanding of the word of God is always sweet, “but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour.” John's stomach turned sour because presenting God's truth to people who are morally and or religiously opposed is a painful process.

This type of conflict ever produces a sour stomach for God's prophets. If you remember, Ezekiel’s experience was identical to John’s. In Revelation 10:11, John says “Then I was told, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings.”” Now, put the word “before” in here because the little Greek preposition that belongs here is best translated “before”; that’s the way it is in the King James Version, incidentally. So when the 144,000 are selected and sealed, the gospel Commission will be renewed and given exclusively to them.

Now, listen carefully, only the 144,000 will speak for God during the Great Tribulation; they will present the terms and conditions of the everlasting gospel to the world. This means that pastors, scholars, priests, Popes, rabbis, witch doctors, or anyone else who claims to speak for God during this time, will not be telling the truth. They may not be intentionally misleading people, but the effect will be the same. You sincerely need to think about this; this is why the gospel Commission is given “again” to the 144,000.
