The 26th Democrat Announces Retirement Ahead of Midterms, Dems Tab CLAY AIKEN as the Future!

Just announced is the candidacy of State Senator Doug Mastriano for the soon to be vacant Pennsylvania Governorship. It's a crowded field on the GOP side, but Mastriano definitely has the highest profile and the status to take the nomination in May.

Ahead of the Midterm elections, the Democrat bench keeps getting thinner and thinner. The 26th retiree was announced in the form of long time Congressman Ed Perlmutter from Colorado, a very vulnerable seat for the Dems. But on the other side of the country, the celebrity culture cultivated by the Democrats is dredging up an old face from reality television's past in the second runner-up from American Idol, Clay Aiken. That's the best they could do... really?
