What can we learn about what we believe from the Collect of the Day for the Baptism of our Lord? Quite a bit actually! Father Jeremiah walks through this collect and lets us see the depth of theology underneath it and what it means for our own Christian walks.

The text of the Collect for the First Sunday of Epiphany:
Eternal Father, at the baptism Jesus you revealed him to be your Son, and your Holy Spirit descended upon him like a dove3: Grant that we, who are born again by water and the Spirit, may be faithful as your adopted children; through Jesus Christ our oLd, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Father Jeremiah is the rector of Grace Anglican Church in Gastonia, NC. Grace Anglican is a church that is intentionally liturgical and desires to show people the beauty of the liturgy in daily life. We want people to learn how to serve Jesus through the various vocations he has placed each of us in. These vocations are the God-given places of our lives where we can truly love and serve our neighbors. The liturgy connects to our vocations by shaping us to see and love the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in our serving those we encounter in our daily lives.

Grace Anglican is a multi-generational, growing congregation that thrives on building relationships with all those who enter her doors. We worship every Sunday at 10am at 800 Robinson Rd, Gastonia, NC. Come and visit and discover the joy of liturgical worship and being sent to love and serve in our vocations. Visit us at https://www.gracegastonia.com for more about our church.
