Julian Assange: "Scientific Journalism" explained

Scientific Journalism is a proposal by Julian Assange to drastically improve the standards, ethics, and overall quality of journalism by encouraging the use of primary sources being publicly available alongside news editorials.

It is the basic concept behind what drives Wikileaks, and can be summarized in Assange's words: “Journalism should be more like science, As far as possible, facts should be verifiable.” By having research data behind an editorial available, readers can be assured that they are not reading propaganda as they can check and verify anything they do not agree with.
