JB's Effort to Protect Sex Offenders

Biden’s Education Department Wants to Roll Back Effort to Catalog Teacher Sex Crimes
Critics say the move is an attempt to appease teachers' unions
The department's Office for Civil Rights will not ask school districts questions regarding teacher-on-student sexual assault allegations as part of its 2021-2022 Civil Rights Data Collection, proposed Thursday. The change is designed to "reduce burden and duplication of data,"

Kimberly Richey, who served as acting assistant secretary in the Office for Civil Rights in the Trump administration, told the Free Beacon. "Through this proposal, the Biden administration is actively helping schools cover up these incidents, which we were intentionally shining a light on."

Public schools' mishandling of sexual assault cases has become a political liability for Democrats across the country. Allegations that school officials in one Northern Virginia school district covered up a double sexual assault case roiled parents just weeks before the gubernatorial election. Teacher-union-backed Democrat Terry McAuliffe lost to Republican Glenn Youngkin by 2 points in the commonwealth, where President Joe Biden handily won by a 10-point margin.

The Education Department's proposal will enter a 60-day period for notice and public comment. The Office for Civil Rights will respond to each individual comment and create a final proposal, which will then undergo an additional 30-day public comment period before being sent to the Office of Management and Budget for final approval.

The Left’s Appalling Efforts to ‘Normalize’ Pedophilia
Some on the left have made a concerted effort of late to “normalize” pedophilia by twisting language and shifting concern from would-be victims to the pedophile himself. That’s a dangerous precedent everyone must understand and confront.

In a Nov. 8 interview with the Prostasia Foundation, a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization purportedly dedicated to safeguarding kids, Allyn Walker offered various explanations and excuses for pedophiles—or as he calls them, “minor-attracted people.”

Walker, an assistant professor of sociology and criminal justice at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, said, “A lot of people when they hear the term ‘pedophile,’ they automatically assume that it means a sex offender, and that isn’t true, and it leads to a lot of misconceptions about attractions towards minors.”

Walker, the author of the book “A Long, Dark Shadow: Minor-Attracted People and Their Pursuit of Dignity,” went on to explain the difference between a “minor-attracted person” and a pedophile by saying behavior should trump desire.

“From my perspective, there is no morality or immorality attached to attraction to anyone because no one can control who they’re attracted to at all,” Walker said. “In other words, it’s not who we’re attracted to that’s either OK or not OK. It’s our behaviors in responding to that attraction that are either OK or not OK.”
