To kick off the first episode of Light in the D in 2022, I have a conversation with my friend who is also a Pastor, Reverend Tyler Cronkright. Tyler and I had a long and edifying conversation, so I made this one a two-parter. In part one Tyler shares the Root of the Gospel, Why Jesus needed to become sin on our behalf I learned something I didn’t know), plus one characteristic of God that the Church sometimes misses, or dismisses.

Tyler Cronkright is Associate Pastor beside Senior Pastor Jim Hill of Family of God - a Lutheran ministry committed to bringing the transformative power of the Gospel to the lives of those living in Southwest Detroit. Tyler also co-hosts a podcast named Jesus, Dietrich, and Me. LCMS Pastors Jim Hill and Tyler look at the different works of German theologian and pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer and weave them together with Jesus and current cultural affairs.
