Frozen Head State Park Lookout Tower
The views from the Frozen Head State Park Lookout Tower are some of the best in East Tennessee. We used the Lookout Tower East Trail that starts at Armes Gap. It is a short but steep hike with a spur trail called the Old Prison Mine Trail that has some historical value.
I hike this trail a lot and is rated moderate but is it a good day hiking for beginners trail. To break things up I experimented getting some DJI Pocket 2 B roll using the slow motion mode on the Pocket 2 DJI. I hope you enjoyed the added cinematic b roll of Porter, he is the best model!
LOST SOILS TRAIL DIFFICULTY RATING
Lookout Tower East Trail 5/10 This trail is not difficult to navigate as it is a old gravel road with one intersection but climbs for 2.25 miles to the tower as well as the steep descent back to the trailhead.
