On June 9, 2021 the Assembly of El Salvador voted on a bill sponsored by President Nayib Bukele. It passed with 62 of 84 Assembly members voting Bitcoin in as legal tender along with the United States Dollar. This is a brilliant plan. Only 30% of the people were banked before but now between 3-4 million people have a bitcoin wallet and can send Bitcoin and cash almost instantly.
