How Rockefeller Destroyed Natural Medicine

John D. Rockefeller is known to be the wealthiest American of all time, he got his start in the late 19th century in the American oil industry business. At his pinnacle he controlled up to 90% of all the oil in the U.S. Although he is famously known for his involvement in the oil industry, he was also making advances in the medical industry. In the 1900’s scientists found out about the production of chemicals from oil/petroleum, known as petrochemicals. This lead to the discovery that a lot of pharmaceutical drugs could be made from oil. This meant that while Rockefeller monopolized on the oil industry, he could also make gains in not only the chemical but the medical industries as well.
