Lies, lies, and more lies but it's from the Left so it's OK

DISCLAIMER: I am not anti-vax and I'm not fond of Rachel Maddow. I don't think she is smart and she shouldn't be giving medical advice. To me, she compares to the Sean Hannity of Lefties. That being said - this video, to me, proves she isn't sharp or truthful. One of my friends is giving me grief because the disinformation she is spewing was the best information "we had at the time." Hello, hello, McFly, are you paying attention? This video is 10 months old! The field of virology has not changed much in 10 months. Yes, 10 months ago anyone with basic common sense knew this statement was BS. Please correct me if I am wrong but we have no cure for any virus. Along with AIDS, the flu, and the common cold viruses cannot be stopped. (Much progress has been made with stopping positivity rates for AIDS) There is no way Rachel's statement is, was true or factual - today or 10 months ago, or even 100 years ago. This is just established science. Basically, she is telling you what SHE wants to tell you - not the truth. So, I asked my friend to retract his statement of "current knowledge" and he said no. So, am I now left to surmise that lying to people so they do what you want - get vaccinated is OK because the end justifies the means? Recent news contained information that the CDC overestimated the actual amount of Covid cases attributed to Omicron by 55%! Well, that's a big number but it doesn't mean people aren't still getting sick and dying. It is further evidence that the "experts" really don't know what's going on or even what to do about it. So, what should you do? I would suggest you listen to your mom and your doctor. Get vaccinated if you want to, wash your hands and avoid potentially "spreadable" events. But please, Rachel Maddow had to know this information she was spewing was wrong. If she didn't, that's where the moron part comes in. She should do a retraction video since it now seems that the new government tag line is Covid, you can catch it from anyone, anywhere, at any time. At this point I agree with Congresswoman Malliotakis, the government should be working on treatment options to help sick people. IMHO, you're (the government) are not going to stop the spread of this virus or ANY virus.
