Champlain Tower The face of columns are not as strong as interior columns, let me explain; let us discover the balconies and how they create ''extra' forces / loading on the critical shear area because they are NOT wrapped around columns but rather are anchored via a ''back and lateral" connection into the critical shear reinforcement and then into the columns.
