People who oppose mask mandates are often characterized as selfish individualists who care more about their personal comfort than for the safety, well-being, and comfort of others. In this episode, we challenge that mischaracterization of "anti-maskers" by going back in time to 1957, and an article about the use of masks in tuberculosis wards. We'll see how the use of masks as a religious talisman is a serious issue that should lead us to challenge the idea that obeying mask mandates is beneficial or even morally acceptable.
