Soviet-style rule looms: Kazakh dissident leader

A self-styled Kazakh opposition leader on Friday urged the West to get involved in the Central Asian republic, saying that otherwise Russia would bring it to heel in a type of restored Soviet Union. Mukhtar Ablyazov is a former banker and government minister who heads an opposition movement called the Democratic Choice of Kazakhstan.
