This snow is the most dangerous

I was a snow maker for 4 years at a couple mountains here in NE PA When you have powdery snow falling it tells you the temps are down several degrees below freezing..salting causes slush and refreezing when its well below freezing as salt gets diluted with water and with powder falling on top its a Recipe for disaster..salt only prevents freezing a few degrees which is why when its in the teens they only put down anti skid..putting salt on the road and having well below freezing temps makes ice. Dont believe me put a salt gargle in a deep freezer..watch it freeze...just like salt lowers waters boiling point a few degrees which is why we put salt in the water when boiling pasta or anything else. Ice burgs have a salt content also.
