The Teenager With Bendy Bones | BORN DIFFERENT

MEET the 17-year-old taking the internet by storm - despite having fractured over 300 bones. Wazir Khan, from Jaipur, India, was born with Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), a genetic bone disorder also known as ‘brittle bone disease’. Wazir’s condition means he has soft bones that fracture easily, so he has to be careful at all times as even a minor fall could land him in hospital. He said: “A simple fall could easily break my hands or feet. I’ve had fractures from head to toe. My ribs have been fractured, when I was studying my neck got bent.” But despite his medical challenges, Wazir, who also has an elder sister with the same condition, has built up a big following on Instagram - with a recent post getting over 25 million views. His viral fame has attracted trolling though. Wazir said: “Many people have called me words like ‘dwarf’, ‘alien’ or ‘monkey’.” However, Wazir is choosing to ignore his haters and focus on achieving his dreams of viral glory. He said: “The response is great and I get a lot of support from people. I get a lot of likes. One of my recent videos which went viral had 25 million views and 2.8 million likes and over 10,000 comments. My dream is to be famous. I want to work hard so that people will know about me despite my disability.”
