Thinking Thru Scripture Ep 11: Looking to Find. Thinking About Wise Men Who Looked, Pursued & Found

Today In Thinking Thru Scripture we read from Matthew's text that tells the story of the Wise Men traveling far, guided by a star, to see the King of the Jews. This event clearly marks Christ as Messiah who is King. The men are seekers and God shows up to them in a manner that they will notice (stars) for they are men that look to the stars for knowledge. When we seek, scripture promises we will find. God speaks to us in ways that we can hear. These men truly wanted to find. They traveled a great distance, brought gifts in expectation. This is what seeking requires. Then, we are told they had GREAT Joy, when they find their sought King. So, shall we. Look for God like you mean it - with preparation, expectation and a willingness to follow:). Great love this late Epiphany:)
