Kawasaki Zh2 vs KTM 1290 Super Duke R | KNOX - Ultimate SuperNaked battle.

2020 is the year of the Supernaked Motorcycle, a sector where caution is thrown to the wind, ludicrous motors are crammed into compact frames and their riders are identified by bulging neck muscles, this test puts 2 of the biggest contenders head to head. Kawasaki ZH2 vs KTM 1290 Super Duke R.

The all-new Kawasaki ZH2 is the king of the Zed Kingdom, famous for bang for buck naked fun and packs 200ps and 101ftlb torque from its screaming 1000cc supercharged inline 4. The KTM 1290 SuperDuke R, is back for another round and a shot at the title, the Beast 3.0 packs 180hp and 103ftlb of Vtwin muscle. We took them to the airfield to put them head to head on acceleration and also to some of the most beautiful roads in England to see how they got on in the real world.

Our head to head battle of the 2020 KTM SuperDuke R vs 2020 Kawasaki ZH2 was bound to get a bit lairy with speeds of 150mph plus and therefore we suited up with the latest armour from the Knox Collection to protect us on the track and on the road.

Aaron was wearing:

All in all, the SuperDuke R and ZH2 are incredible supernaked’s and we have a huge amount of respect for both bikes!

Our stand-alone review pieces on each of these supernaked machines will be coming over the coming weeks, but we hope you enjoyed our shakedown and celebration of these 2 great machines!
