Meet Russell Newman, our new Senior Litigator

We are excited to introduce you to Russell Newman, a marine, a great attorney, and our new senior litigator here at Tennessee Stands. We'll give a couple of updates regarding our lawsuit against Governor Bill Lee. But also, we'll continue to talk about this pesky little issue we continue to have in the court called, standing.

Most people know by now that courts use "standing" as a way to avoid dealing with cases they simply do not want to deal with. However, in Tennessee, Rep. Glen Casada was able to pass a bill in 2018 which as written, was supposed to grant standing to citizens to challenge the constitutionality of governmental actions. We have an update on that battle as well.
