If you were old enough to remember 911 then you remember exactly where you were and exactly how you felt the moment you saw those towers! Everyone was scared out of their minds and worst of all, no one knew what was going to come next. Fast forward several years and most Americans were more than happy to see the government "take action." That action would ultimately include launching multiple wars in the middle east, spending trillions of American dollars, sending our troops overseas to die, and tarnishing the bill of rights.

Following the botched withdraw from Afghanistan in August of 2021, under the "leadership" of Joe Biden, we are sadly reminded of just how incompetent our leaders have become. In the end it was essentially the same short-sighted, corrupt, egotistical type of leaders that got us into Afghanistan, as it was that got us out of it. Never forget that these people have not earned our trust and they must never be given any more power than what is absolutely necessary. Let us also be reminded that freedom is not something that we should ever be willing to negotiate with, never compromise with, or sell out in the attempts to bolster safety.

Safety is just an illusion, its also a state of mind, and those who live in a constant state of fear will be far more willing to compromise their freedoms than those who live boldly and accept the risks of life. To be alive is to be at risk, but to live in a world where you are truly free, that is something worth dying for! Sadly it seems that history is doomed to repeat itself, and those who are born with freedom will seldom appreciate what it means to have it.

Perhaps we no longer deserve freedom? Maybe if our society is too weak and scared to standup for freedom then perhaps we deserve the tyranny that will ultimately follow.
