Do Tools Matter?

Yes and No, since they are an end to a means and often times people tends to take these ideas to their distorted extremes. You get the Minimalists that use overtly inferior materials and tools to get well...inferior results, it's a giant waste of time and effort. And then you get over-engineered folks that ends up over-killing and deep frying the whole project to a point of becoming something else entirely.

What you want is the right tools and materials for the scope of work you can handle, this is a nuanced thing that most people needs to think and work on.
