A spiritually disciplined life is a lifelong work. As initiates we choose to develop and exercise our higher faculties to glorify God. We do this through volition and in synchronicity with God’s Holy Will. What are these faculties? We begin with our five human senses, yet we also access other faculties: I will hear divine sounds; I will see divine visions; I will feel divine emotions; I will smell divine aromas and I will taste divine food. Then we proceed to the following: I will sense divine essences; I will think divine thoughts; I will speak divine words; I will act with divine intent and I will understand with divine wisdom. After we have engaged with these ten faculties through volition, we graduate to beingness in God and upgrade our statements to divine affirmations, using the name of God, I AM. I AM divine hearing, I AM divine seeing, I AM divine feeling, I AM divine smelling, I AM divine tasting, I AM divine sensing, I AM divine thinking, I AM divine speaking, I AM divine acting and I AM divine understanding.
