Haitian prime minister survives assassination attempt
Being a politician in Haiti is quickly becoming one of the most dangerous jobs in the world. Haiti’s PM, Ariel Henry, came face-to-face with gunmen while attending an event marking the 218th anniversary of the Caribbean island’s independence.
This assassination attempt comes less than a year after the murder of President Jovenel Moise, who was killed in his own home in the summer of 2021.
