A winter weather advisory is in effect from midnight to 6 pm Wednesday. Snowfall will move in tonight near or after midnight over our western counties and gradually work through the rest of the area. Temperatures will remain mind in the mid 20s with south winds around 10 mph with gusts near 20 mph. Strong winds pick up during the day on our Wednesday from the west and northwest. We could see some gusts approaching 40 mph causing blowing and drifting of snow accumulations. Temperatures will start in the mid 20s and then begin to fall in the afternoon. Total snowfall accumulations should be 2-4 inches with perhaps a few localized areas near 5 inches. Our Thursday will be cold with highs in the upper to lower teens and even colder on Friday with highs in the sigle digits and lower teens.
