Real Superheroes: Jordan & Mikhaila Peterson | Intellectual Father Daughter Dynamic Duo

It's always bothered me how Jordan & Mikhaila Peterson are endlessly mischaracterized, and despite recognizing I don't have nearly as much reach as their character demolitionists, I thought I'd do my best to represent their ideas in an honest manner.

I recently had someone tell me that they think Jordan is dangerous and then go on to mention they really like Jung and Nietzsche... which is extremely ironic seeing as Jordan is applying their ideas to the modern landscape (among other intellectual influences such as Dostoevsky, Orwell, and Piaget to name a few). Journalists make it seem as though there is some ideological cult around Jordan, although this is yet another ridiculous claim as Jordan avoids deification as best as anyone can. He won't refer to anyone as his fans, but instead readers, listeners, and viewers as he's vehemently opposed to sycophancy. That being said nobody is perfect, so if you'd like to hear legitimate opposition to Jordan's philosophies I'd suggest listening to the Slavoj Žižek debate, or his discussions with Michael Malice and Sam Harris (all very different critiques).

Mikhaila on the other hand has had undeniable and unfathomable success with her diet, yet continues to get discredited. I've always shaken my head at the articles written about Mikhaila and her diet as they'll commonly pull a quote from a dietary specialist that usually says something along the lines of "I don't see only consuming meat as inherently dangerous but also not as helpful." This is quite funny, as there is never any pushback against her results but rather a completely subjective stance on the IDEA of the diet. Nobody is saying the idea of the diet doesn't sound ridiculous, she'll be the first to say it for you. However, the results not only she's seen, but her father and many people are around the world as well, is enough to warrant the question... could the industrialization of food be causing many of the ailments that are becoming more common by the day? (I'm raising that question, idk if she feels the same). Mikhaila, if by chance you do see this video, I apologize for not going into further detail on the ins and outs of the diet as I'm more versed in the psychology and political realm and wanted to make sure I wasn't going to mischaracterize your diet... as so many have already done.

I can't say I'm on the same page with them on everything, for instance, I'm definitely a fan of eating more than steak. In regards to politics and philosophy, I'm still very much finding where I stand on a day-by-day basis, I definitely hold some common views with Jordan but also some that are contradictory... but he is most definitely not bigotted and never fails to get my mind spinning. I think all of us could stand to benefit by listening to these two with an open mind.
