We rescued a senior parrot

We rescued a senior parrot! This is a very special parrot rescue! Rico is a flighted 12-year-old Lineolated Parakeet who needed a new home. Luckily, I knew just the right person to give this senior parrot the best retirement home ever! I got the call from The Perfect Parrot that an older parrot was looking for a home after his companion passed away a few weeks prior, and that this poor little bird was very depressed and alone. As it turns out, one of our very own who just so happens to work for Parrot Station tweeted out about wanting a Turquoise Lineolated Parakeet the week before!! What are the odds?! Meghan is a big advocate of senior pet adoption as well, so I know this parrot is in the right hands! She knew that Rico was coming home with us, but she didn't know it'd be that day, so she's in for a SURPRISE!! You never ever want to get a parrot for someone else without them knowing, it's so important that the entire family is on board when bringing a bird home.
