U.S. schools struggle to reopen amid Omicron wave

Thousands of U.S. schools delayed this week's scheduled return to classrooms following the holiday break or switched to remote learning as the Omicron variant of the coronavirus pushed COVID-19 cases to record levels. One notable exception: New York City’s schools, the largest district in the nation, reopened despite a surge of cases in the city. Bryan Wood reports.
