Great electric bike ! NCM Munich unboxing, assembly, and review, similar to NCM Hamburg

I ordered the NCM Munich electric bike online from Leon Cycle in Seattle, WA on Tuesday Nov. 17, 2020 https://www.leoncycle.com/ It was quickly received on Friday Nov. 20, 2020 and easily assembled Saturday Nov. 21, 2020. I made this unboxing, assembly and review video to share my experiences in these tasks and what was learned. It was easy to assemble, especially since they included the tools needed for the job. The NCM Munich is very similar to the NCM Hamburg model with the main difference being the step through frame for the Munich. I reviewed many electric bikes priced under $1200 and narrowed my selection down to 4 bikes. I called Leon Cycle on Tuesday Nov. 17, before I making my purchase and was happily surprised that my call was answered by a person on the 3rd ring. No voice mail, going through a chain of press a number to route the call, or delays in responding. He answered all my questions and concerns very patiently, helpfully, quickly and in a friendly manner. Customer service is 10 out of 10. After making my order online on Tuesday, I called again on Wednesday to ask a question and had the same experience with a different person, a mechanic at Leon Cycle. Again 10 out of 10 in customer service.

The quality and finish and features of the NCM Munich are wonderful. The bike is very powerful and easy to operate. The first time you use it, you will be surprised at the quick take off and smooth operation!

The hand grips are very comfortable and well made, as is the seat. I have not pushed it to its speed limits since we just got it, but at power level 6 and without pedaling hard and not shifting the derailleur to the smallest gear to get faster speeds I got to 18.7 mph. The disc brakes work great! I am 6' and weight is 228 lbs. I recommend wearing glasses or goggles because your eyes may water from the wind in your face! And of course, a bike helmet.

Quality, performance, comfort, style, value, customer service and price make this a winner for urban/suburban electric biking. The open frame of the Munich makes it very easy to get on and off for all. The rear wheel lock is a great feature but you still need a lock to attach the bike to something to deter theft.

Even children can learn from and enjoy this video. No children appear in the video, but it is educational as a how-to instruction on assembling an electric bicycle and things to look for. What kid doesn't enjoy learning about bicycles?

I highly recommend the NCM Munich and Leon Cycle !

While this video is for the NCM Munich bike, it would be helpful for others considering the NCM Hamburg or purchasing any electric bike. You may prefer a different style, feature set, or cost, but the issues related to assembly and features will be similar.
