Squirrel Interloper

This is a common theme, squirrel on the deck but who cares?
-they say that every picture is worth a thousand words, but would you believe the dark back story to this video if I told you? This is Gary, and Gary is a semi-lone survivor of my father.. the squirrel hunter. They dance along the decrepit deck railing and eventually find the trap. They go into the trap and unless someone springs them.. Well let's just say there will be a silence and then an even longer silence for Gary. My father kills them. He used to relocate them but as he has gotten older he just kills them. He throws their limp little lifeless bodies into the trash bin and thinks he has done right. I disagree with this practice but family is family. We were out at the edge of the lawn near the bins talking about the day when a neighbor aproached and soon became aware of the dark and off putting odor of death. When she said something I thought quickly and said I must have killed a mole when I was tilling and everyone agreed. My father never killed another squirrel as far as I know. Thank goodness, because you know the kicker? My last name is German- you don't want to be the German guy with the smell of death around your house.
