Season 2, Episode 17: The American Dream with Joel AKA TokenBlackGuyUSA

On this episode of Pilsners & Politics, Benji and Vinny sat down with Joel, who is the founder of America First Candidates (AFC) and serves as an ambassador for Turning Point USA, American Legends and PragerFORCE. Joel is also a college student who manages social media accounts across all platforms to speak his truth!

Joel kicks off the show by sharing his personal account of how he became a US citizen, born naturally in South Africa. Joel talked about how he grew up doing all the right things, focusing on school and always dreaming of the opportunity to venture west to the greatest country in the world, the United States. When the opportunity finally came, legally, Joel took it and never looked back. In doing so, Joel worked and continues to work extremely hard to achieve success and live "The American Dream."

Joel also spoke about privilege and racial tensions in America. Joel offered some interesting insights from his perspective as an African American male and suggested why he thinks the younger generation of American's may look at socialism as an improvement over our current capitalist system.
