Attempt at defending Ravi Zacharius at the cost of his victims

Hi so in this video I'm going to share my ramblings on Ravi Zacharius.

If you have been affected negatively by Ravi Zacharius' actions and have been involved by being either a family member or a victim, then please don't watch it as it will not help you in any way. In this video I said that having women leaders would have helped to reduce the power structure, and if his wife was also given an active leadership position she would not be treated according to Ravi's actions and what enabled the situations from occurring in the first place could have been prevented.

The way that I talk about some of the things that have happened is in light of what Ravi Zacharius may have experienced during his ministry and I talk without empathy about the people involved. I don't personally want to be liable for the things I've said in this video because I do not know to what extent I completely can defend or condemn Ravi Zacharius as I was not him. However, I am not convinced by what made Ravi Zacharius suspicious to be searched up in the first place - the argument that the Daniel prophecy being used by Ravi Zacharius as an indication of dishonesty, is not valid.

In addition, his books and material being removed and the only ones remaining being the ones that pick at him and make him look as if all he was is a dirty old man is not a good reflection of what he did during his life.

With regards to Ravi's credentials, IMO some of what Ravi Zacharius did is viewed in light of the huge snowball of what an evil and wicked thing he did, and it is even more convincing when books and videos of Ravi Zacharius' words and answers being taken down and we do not give the same amount of weight on the "small" snowball that started it.

Here is some of the things I put emphasis on:
- Ravi Zacharius' bio had that he 'was honored' with doctorate degrees. That is not the same as saying he earned it.
- when asked if Ravi was a 'visiting scholar', the reply included the notion that using it in small caps meant that he was not given a Visiting Scholar status. In Ravi's bio it is in small caps.

Ravi Zacharius' life works are being completely deleted, and his works and teachings are even viewed as being dangerous. In fact, the only books left on the store will be about criticism of Ravi Zacharius.

If we view Ravi's actions for what it is, then we should leave his material and books so that those who read and watch his material can learn his arguments for Christianity. There are those that are not his victims, who are curious as to what he said and wrote. For them, they can also find it enlightening to read what Ravi believed and why.
