The Democrats and Left hate anonymity on the internet. Bureaucrats and the Deep State hate it as well. Those in power in the West in general want it to end. Which has lead to their turning their sights on VPNs.

Currently, there is no way they could ban them here, but that doesn’t mean they can’t pave the way to do so. Which is exactly what they are attempting to now do through changing perceptions about VPNs and the purpose they actually serve.
