How to Build – Raised Garden Beds

These raised garden beds not only look good, but are long-lasting and free of harmful chemicals from pressure treated materials. While the basic construction is the same, the dimensions can be modified to fit different areas and needs. We constructed 6.6 x 3.3 ft. raised beds for the main garden area and much smaller 1 x 7 ft. beds for around our fence.

Building materials can be found at any big box or speciality home improvement center.
– 8 - 10 ft. Corrugated Galvanized Steel Roofing Panels
– 8 - 10 ft. Cedar Decking

And that's it! Once cut down to desired size, assembly is a mix of pocket screws and butt joints with pre-drilled holes. These boxes haven't bowed or sagged in any way – proven to be very sturdy!

Enjoy.
