Can’t afford Elon Musk’s CyberTruck? A miniature vehicle inspired by the delayed original may be for you.

The $1,299 (£961) CyberKAT is a remote-controlled snowcat designed to help out in the garden.

It’s the creation of Ryan Butler of Minnesota start-up Spyker Workshop, who plans to add snow blower and plow attachments.

The 29-inch (74cm), hand-built creation has styling that echoes the minimalism of the CyberTruck and features wide tracks to handle the bumpiest of lawns.

Ryan explains: “The CyberKAT was inspired by the Tesla CyberTruck with my own original spin on the design.

“The CyberKAT has an all-aluminium sheet metal frame, with plastic injection molded parts for tracks/wheels/gears etc..

“Everything they said about the CyberTruck is true, simple sheet metal exoskeleton is super cheap and easy to manufacture.

“The whole goal of my CyberKAT is to reduce the cost, and reduce the amount of labour it requires for me to produce them.

“A snow blower and plow are in development as an accessory that will attach to the CyberKAT platform.”

Pre-orders are currently estimated to ship January-February 2022
