One of the most striking temples in Kanchanaburi in a picturesque location is Wat Tham Suea (วัดถำเสือ). The English name, Tiger Cave Temple, is sometimes used for this temple in guidebooks. At the top of the hill there is an 18 meter high Seated Buddha covered in a golden mosaic. A nearby tower gives some stunning views of the farmland and lakes nearby. There is another temple near Krabi with the same name as well as the tiger temple that was closed down after being accused of drugging the tigers. This temple is not either one of those 2. This gets its name from supposedly having a family of tigers that was living in the cave before it was a temple.

This is one of the most popular temples for tourists and locals to visit. Well worth a stop if you have time and want to experience Buddhism in Thailand. Enjoy the video!
