John Lennon spoke with television host Merv Griffin at the Cannes Film Festival in May, 1965. Director Dick Lester was also there, and spoke about the soon-to-be-released film, "Help!" The interview was shown on "The Merv Griffin Show" on June 1, 1965.
An interview for the Merv Griffin show, also present is Dick Lester. The film doesn’t run at a fixed speed so the sync goes a little off at some parts. The low quality mixed with this made it extremely hard to fix.
The actual film is one not many people know of. It was on YouTube in lower quality and cropped for a bit, right now I think the film only appears on one bootleg. It comes from an archive on the internet.
