Who created Bitcoin? Was it the CIA or someone else?
WE ARE ALL SATOSHI NAKAMOTO:
This is a very famous saying in the crypto community that we're all Satoshi because Bitcoin doesn't belong to any single person.

WHO IS SATOSHI?
The pseudonymous name for the person(s) who created Bitcoin. Satoshi Nakamoto controls over 1 million Bitcoins which today is worth over $60 billion. This would put Satoshi as the 19th richest person in the world (depending on what Bitcoin is doing that week).

WHO ACTUALLY CREATED BITCOIN?
On February 25th of 2021 - Coinbase went public, and in the documents they submitted to the SEC - they listed a bunch of “risk” factors that could affect people investing in the Coinbase stock. One of the things they listed in that document as a threat to Bitcoin was this

"...the identification of Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous person or persons who developed Bitcoin, or the transfer of Satoshi’s Bitcoins."

It just so happens that right now there is an extremely high profile legal battle going on in Florida that you might have missed - the battle is over one million Bitcoins which involves a man who claims to be the creator himself.

FEBRUARY 11, 2009:
A man by the name Satoshi Nakamoto would start posting on the internet about a P2P e-cash system called Bitcoin. Satoshi left a post describing what he had just created, “It's completely decentralized, with no central server or trusted parties, because everything is based on crypto proof instead of trust." That was the birth of Bitcoin and no one knew it.

HAL FINNEY:
Satoshi wasn’t alone, he had help in creating Bitcoin and one of the earliest people who started using Bitcoin and talking to Satoshi is someone by the name of Hal Finney.

Hal Finney was computer scientist, in 2004, he created the first reusable proof of work system that Bitcoin would later use.

THE FIRST BITCOIN TRANSACTION:
On January 11th 2009, the world’s first Bitcoin transaction took place. Hal Finney received 10 Bitcoins from Satoshi from Satoshi himself. Hal became a big part of Bitcoin’s development and As Bitcoin got more and more people interested in it, things got more tense.

184 BILLION BITCOINS APPEAR:
In August 2010 - 184 billion Bitcoins just appeared on the blockchain. There was only ever supposed to be 21 million but someone found a way to exploit an accounting trick inside the code. Satoshi quickly fixed the problem but this didn’t sit well with a lot of people because Bitcoin survived because of someone’s benevolence. The fear was what if Satoshi used his power to steal Bitcoin? Some of the developers wanted more competition. They wanted the best ideas to win. In many ways Satoshi was challenged. Hal Finney unfortunately passed away in 2014 and with him many secrets about who Satoshi could have been. Some people believe that Hal Finney was Satoshi himself.

DAVE KLEIMAN:
In December 2015 Gizmodo reported that Dave Kleiman may have been involved in the invention of Bitcoin according to a man who has claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto since as early as 2015 - Mr. Craig Wright.

CRAIG WRIGHT:
Craig Wright is an Australian computer scientist with knowledge on the legal system, software engineering and economics - he was first thrown into the spotlight in 2015 when he was “doxxed” or revealed as Satoshi Nakamoto by two publications - Wired and Gizmodo. A lot can be said about Mr. Craig Wright - so watch the video!
