Our expert class has lost sight of the original goal. The goal was to defeat, or at least drastically mitigate the effects of the coronavirus by any means necessary and to achieve herd immunity.

For anyone still interested in what Herd Immunity is, or used to be, here you go (simply put).

Many diseases occur when people are infected with pathogens like bacteria or viruses. A person’s immune system detects these intruders and responds by producing antibodies that fight the pathogen. These pathogens can be passed from person to person, and if enough people get sick it can lead to an outbreak – an epidemic or pandemic. However, if a particular number, and there is no exact number or percentage, of people in a population are or become immune, then the pathogen’s chain of transmission is broken and the disease cannot be passed around as easily. As a result, the disease becomes rarer over time and in some cases can even be eradicated.
