15" Leather Grandfather Briefcase in Dubrovnik, Croatia

When I was a kid, my dad always carried a hard Samsonite or some other briefcase. But it was always hard. I remember one 4th of July dad came home and opened his hard briefcase and it was full of fireworks.

When dad would come home, he would usually leave his briefcase on the floor behind his driver’s seat and it was my job to go get it after I gave him a hug hello.

I guess it is just sentimental to have a hard briefcase like my father and like his father which was probably a lot like his father’s. Like my grandfather and my great grandfather had too.
