Don't Look Back, The Demons are Following

If I were to sum up this world in one word that word would be temporary.

Luk 9:23  And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Luk 9:24  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

This world and everything is has to offer is temporary?

One of the demonic hosts greatest tools they use against you is having you look back and think you left something behind, like you're missing something?

Php 3:12  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Php 3:13  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Php 3:14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Paul urges us to leave the past behind because there is absolutely nothing there, everything that is good lies ahead, we have a glorious future ahead of us.

The past is where all our failures and heartaches lie and we need to leave them where they belong in the past.

Gen 19:17  And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

Gen 19:26  But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

Why did Lot's wife look back, did she want to return? No She looked back because she had two daughters their husbands and perhaps even grand children there?

Her sin, she was told “Don't look back” just as Paul is telling us, nothing is there.
