Functions and Inverse Functions
Hello, in this video I will cover a math test question where we are given the f(x) and told to find the f^-1 (x). When you encounter this type of math test question, find the inverse function and double-check it afterwards.
A common method that is taught in textbooks or school is to replace the f(x) with the variable y because in some cases, f(x) and y are interchangeable. After rewriting the function with a y, swap the variables x and y. The next step is to solve for the y variable in the equation.
Let's jump into the video to see these steps being followed. Thanks for watching! Please drop a like and subscribe to my channel.Don’t forget to let me know if you have any questions in the comments below.
