One Of Our Deleted Albums Series

Ian Matthews had been a member of the British folk-rock group Fairport Convention before forming Matthews Southern Comfort, which released this debut album in 1971 on Decca Records, catalogue number DL 75264.

Matthews Southern Comfort had a number 1 hit from this album with the cover of Joni Mitchell's Woodstock.

As far as I can tell, this album has been deleted from the Decca/MCA catalogues for years but has fairly recently been reissued on a reissue label.

The audio here was taken from a 1970's Canadian pressing of the original vinyl LP.
