The First 4 Pages - A creative writing critique video series. I read the first 4 pages of published works and you decide if you are compelled to continue reading or not. This is meant to incite discussion about what works and what doesn't in the craft of creative writing. As an aspiring writer, I had often heard of the need to create a compelling opening to my stories. If readers weren't hooked right away, they might dismiss your work entirely. So I thought it would be an interesting experiment to put published works to this same scrutiny.

Experiment #1: The Gunslinger, The Dark Tower Part 1 by Stephen King. This is the revised and expanded version published in 2003 by Signet.

Intro music "Rain Fuse" by French Fuse is from the Youtube Audio Library. Background image is from Pexels user "RODNAE Productions".

I self-publish comic books and graphic novels (so far) under the Rainy Road Comics/Media imprint. Check out my website at www.rainyroadmedia.com to find out all about my completed work and numerous upcoming projects.

You can also read the dirty details of my creative writing endeavours in the Rainy Road Warrior Newsletter on Substack by going to rainyroad.substack.com.

I greatly appreciate (and desperately need) your support!

THANK YOU!
