We Do Not Lose Heart

2 Corinthians 5:1-10

Our Current Situation:
Verse 1: We live in an “early tent” destined to be torn down.
Verse 2: We “groan” because we know heaven is a better place.
Verse 4: We are burdened, we want to transfer to God’s new place for us.
Verse 5: We are living with a promise of a better place. We have been given a down payment.
Verse 6: We face the future courageously, by faith
Verse 7: The one constant is that we want to please God
The Promise we have received:
Verse 1: We have a replacement for our “early tent”, an eternal house in heaven
Verse 3: We will be fully clothed in God’s righteousness.
Verse 4: There will come a day when our mortal existence will be “swallowed up by life”.
Verse 5: We have a guarantee that this will happen.
Verse 7: We walk by faith and not by sight
Verse 8: When we transition we will be “present with the Lord”
