Functions - Inputs and Outputs

Hello, today I will go over a practice test question that is intended to see if you know what it means to be a function. Typically, many functions are in the form of f(x) where x is given and f(x) equals to some equation or you are tasked to manipulate f(x) to become something else. In this practice problem, there is no clear f(x). We are given a set of points and no f(x), so we will rely on the definition of functions. The definition of a function is like a set of rules for functions. The requirement is for every input, there is exactly 1 output.

Come join me in solving this practice problem! I will go over the problem by visually mapping out the inputs and outputs. You might see this being called the inputs and outputs table.
