This 7x38 stick features a dark brown firm wrapper with small veins, a rustic lumpiness, tight invisible seams, a triple cap and a damp earthy aroma. First light reveals a rock hard draw luckily putting out good medium-full bodied smoke. It's smooth and oily but has a big bitter earth and coffee profile with a touch of pepper joining on the finish. The first third burns perfectly, dropping the ash quite short but with a sharp burn. Flavors change very little, the bitterness almost going away with the dark coffee dominating and the pepper larger through the long finish. The 1/2 way point comes at 35 minutes complete with still a snug draw and disgusting tar balls from it. Flavors are still almost the same, with the bitterness finally dropping off at least. Strength is starting to come in at a mild-medium. Finishing at 1:10 the last third stuck with a coffee core but added a nice cinnamon to the mix which lasted through the finish with the slight pepper zing mingling around. It got plugged with tar again near the band point and I put it down early.
