If you ever witnessed Mr. Jeff Roberts public speaking, you may understand why he did all what it takes to avoid Mayoral Forum prior last elections. Anything but to be with Mr. Kuykendall on same stage.

On 4/21/15 2:50 he stated “…I will not be able to attend due to a prior commitment scheduled months in advance”.

On 4/22/16 his wife Melisa stated a school was named after Jeff’s dad and “we did not find out until Tuesday he was a finalist… no, it [not attending Mayoral Forum] was not to attend the school board meeting”.

On 4/23/16 Jeff Roberts came up with the story about not attending Mayoral Forum due to “hosting our missionary friends from Russia in the evening” who are here only for FEW DAYS. However, the newspaper recorded Jeff Roberts “was in attendance at the district’s board of trustee meeting” the Mayoral Forum night.

The Facebook 4/13/16 initiative to move Mayoral Forum to Sunday felt on deaf ears. That is a water under the bridge now.

What you may not know is that on top of not attending, Jeff Robert's big supporter Tajana Mesic (council member at the time, Duke employee now), went to the Police station and filed alleged assault charges against Mr. Kuykendall’s wife related to “winking”. Mr. Kuykendall was informed about these assault charges only couple hours prior the Mayoral Forum. (If you ever wondered why he looked so beaten on that stage). When you read the Police report note how Mrs. Mesic story gets shorter under the Oath.

As to blaming Chamber of Commerce for the Mayoral Forum debacle, note that the wedge between the City and its Chamber started way before. See Mrs. Mesic attached e-mail dated 1/28/16.

KILLING TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE. WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET EVEN WITH MR. KUYKENDALL PLUS HELPING MR. ROBERTS TO GET ELECTED ON TOP OF IT.
