Stockholm Syndrome is the psychological distorted bond that happens when cult members bond with their abusers and develop an unhealthy positive attachment towards them. It can be extremely difficult and painful to break free from. If we don't pay attention and stay true to our deepest sense of discernment, hooks are placed inside our vulnerable damaged self-esteem. Yet the counterfeit is only a pale reminiscent of the organic truth.
